A highly neglected dog was abandoned to his fate so that his time to die would come. It was literally treated like garbage.
The man immediately contacted the Dallas Dog RRR for help, and volunteers were dispatched to the scene.
The animal was in such critical condition, it had to be taken to the emergency room . They named the dog Sally. At the animal hospital, she was diagnosed with a high fever, dehydration, and chronic mange .
Sally was very weak and had open sores that were still bleeding . Even her paws were swollen and sore. But the little dog somehow kept the right attitude through it all.
Their scabies was chronic, they only had to trust their will to live
Despite his dire condition, he continued to wag his tail and never gave up . It was clear that they had a great fighter on their hands!
There was a long recovery ahead and Sally would have to stay in the hospital for a few days.
A woman named Patti decided to put Sally into foster care , even knowing the dog would still have to visit the vet regularly for treatment.
The day her foster mom came to pick her up, Sally was so happy she covered Patti’s face with kisses!
Sally made an immediate connection with Patti. All this love and trust were the main ingredients for his recovery
Sally knew she was now in good hands, and it made all the difference in her long story of recovery . It would only be a matter of time before she fully recovered from her horrible past.
Sally made slow but steady progress in her foster home . Patti did an amazing job of giving the pup the love and attention she needed, and she was clearly paying off.
A few months later, Sally is now fully recovered and scabies free!
If it wasn’t for the man who rescued her in time, the great help of Dallas Dog RRR and her adoptive mother, we don’t even want to think about how this story would have ended for this sweet little dog.
